WHO SAID ‘NO’

Many may have had their fair share of high school nostalgia in the university right from when a lecturer flogged a group of students in agriculture and natural resources(not serious though) to many other occurrences. Ours will forever be recorded in our memories as the ‘who-said-no’ experience. I would have gone straight to the juicy part of the occurrence but that might leave you lost so let me take you through the ride right from the start. I won’t say I'm too good a driver but you’d love this ride.
All 49 of us were placed in groups of 4, some 5 to work on various food commodities such as eggs, fishes, oils among others. This i must say was given to us somewhere within the early weeks of the semester. Now in revision week, we were to give account for our experimental work and that’s where the nostalgia begun. Our lecturer asked upon entering the class if we were ready for the presentation. Someone or a group people said no so he went further to ask who did clearly displeased by the answer. The class went dead silent. I was so tempted to drop a pin to test for the intensity of the silence however; i was too busy making the necessary additions to my group’s slides. Then the unfortunate happened; he walked out on us stating he wasn’t coming back till he found the culprits. It reminded me so much where we had quite a number of such experiences.
Some people sat unconcerned, others with guilty expressions and some others intervening on the class’ behalf. Oh and there were those who were so pissed, they could have rained curses on the who-said-no culprits. We all clearly wanted to get over and done with the presentation so we could have the rest of the day to study in preparation for exam. For some of us, official wears aren’t really our thing so we just couldn't wait to get out of it.
After a long wait of pep talk from colleagues, one of the culprits decided to own up. We didn't see who it was but we were forgiven and given another chance to present later that afternoon. Argh! official wear again… The good part is, we did have our presentation with an atmosphere as though nothing had occurred.
